A vacancy is available immediately in a registered care service in St Albans, just north of Watford. An experienced care team currently supports 10 people on the site, which consists of two buildings within a large, leafy estate.

Support and community details

  • There are currently 10 residents supported at the site, from the ages of 30 to 70. We have a vacancy for one more person.
  • Our staff team are experienced in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, plus a range of health needs including SALT, dysphagia and epilepsy.
  • At night-times, two waking night staff are available in the main hose while sleep-in support is provided in the smaller property.
  • Shared hours are currently funded to be shared between the existing residents. Additional 1:1 or 2:1 support can be provided added as per each individual’s requirements.
  • We regularly support people to access three different local day services. As part of the person-centred planning we do with each person, we also enjoy exploring what the local area has to offer – from pubs and restaurants, to the local cathedral or historical places of interest, or gyms and leisure centres.
  • On-site, we have already developed a new sensory garden. Our next task is to make the most of the extensive gardens to grow fruit and veg, which will be a wellbeing and community engagement project.

  • A large, three-story 8-bedroom house is located in a quiet residential street near St Albans town centre. The property has recently been extensively refurbished.
  • A 3-bedroom house is also located on the same site.
  • On each floor of the main house there are communal lounges, kitchens, bathrooms and toilets.
  • We are very fortunate to have extensive grounds at the property, which are enjoyed by the residents and their visiting families

The current vacancy is a large, first-floor room to the rear of the larger of the two buildings, meaning it has lovely views over the garden area. The room has a sink and wardrobe, and is on the same floor as a large living room with a fish tank, and a spacious kitchen.
