New housemates needed for Supported Living house near Crawley
United Response provide support to a happy, friendly house of people in Crawley, and we’re looking for some new house mates to join us.
We are looking for two new people to join a 4-bed house in Pound Hill where we offer 24-7 support for people with learning disabilities or autistic people.
There are currently two males housemates who live here. They are in their 50s and 60s and both enjoy getting out and about around the town.
The house
Crawley Borough Council is the landlord of the 4-bedroom property.
You might have noticed a vacancy in another similar property nearby. Of the two, this opportunity is better suited to a wheelchair user or someone with limited mobility as one of the rooms is on the ground floor, and there is a ramp to access the house.
The property has recently been redecorated from top-to-toe, so is looking lovely. There’s a brand new kitchen as well, and the conservatory to the back of the house is used as a communal dining area. Elsewhere in the house, there is a wet room downstairs and a bathroom upstairs.
It’s really close to some shops, sports clubs and transport links including Three Bridges train station, so it’s perfect for someone who enjoys getting out.
The support
United Response is a national charity that provides the support at the house, and our experienced team of support workers have worked there for a long time.
The current arrangements for support are for 24-7 staffing at the house, including sleep-in support, so there’s always someone available if needed. Person-centred support is at the heart of everything we do here – this means that our experienced managers will develop a support plan that precisely matches support with each person’s strengths, abilities and ambitions.
It’s really important to United Response to protect the privacy, safety and rights of everyone who lives at this location. That’s why we haven’t included every detail and there might be less photos than you’d expect. Please get in touch and we’ll be able to answer any questions, as well as support you and your social worker to assess its suitability.
