Derek’s passion and interest in accessible voting was evident throughout the meeting, held earlier this month.

It was reassuring to see that a local MP clearly had hands on knowledge of how adult social care works throughout his constituency and has a deep rooted desire for it’s progress.

Derek is a member of the Conservative Party. He has been the elected MP for St Ives since 2015.

He was previously a development manager at Mustard Seed, an organisation in Helston which helps to meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities through training in essential life skills and supporting access to the local community.
