The cohort has been working on their mandatory training with support from their job coach tutors, which are provided by ROC College who are the Education Provider for the scheme. Once this training and preparation work is complete, the candidates will rotate around positions at Bodmin Hospital, gaining valuable skills and confidence-boosting experiences along the way.

Jamie recently recorded this video blog, which captured the huge progress he has made since beginning his supported employment with us three years ago. Since recording the video, he has successfully achieved the mandatory training and so is ready to move to the next stage:

Previous to this, Jamie worked with a job coach to develop skills that led to him achieving paid employment, working in the bar at his local rugby club. This has made good use of the essential employability skills that he’s been working on such as ambition, team working, listening, speaking, problem solving, leadership and staying positive.
