What is good support?

Good support is someone who comes in to listen to your needs.

Someone that does not judge you, when being supported by them.

They should be honest in their due diligence and service.

Support you with your house chores but not do it for you.

Not being judgemental or trying to impose their beliefs on you.

Someone who puts your feelings first,

Someone who is very understanding and helpful.

Someone who recognises that we are different individuals, with different needs.

It’s the help they offer me to manage my finances and daily living expenses.

There is always someone apart from family that you can talk to, and who you can look forward to seeing each week.

It is a hard job but the rewards are good for those who need the support.
