Winter poems by Donna Harrison

Cold Winter π₯Ά
Today is cold π₯Ά as ice π§
Thatβs not very nice to feel.
It seems harsh this winter βοΈ,
On the hill of St Clement,
That has a orange π tree that stood so still.
To have hope of a warmer day,
never seems to come in that heart π of mine.
A log πͺ΅ fireplace π₯ all warm for me
and you.
βοΈ Snowflake βοΈ
A snowflake βοΈ falls on the meadow of St Ivy.
Down to the ground where a snow fairy π§ββοΈ Lara lives.
She looked at this winter βοΈ fog π«οΈ.
Lara drinks πΉ a hot π₯΅ mug of cocoa in a cottage, all nice π and warm.
She looks at this snowflake that landed on the window πͺ with such beauty.
It was cold π₯Ά that evening. See it turn into π§ ice on the π¨ window.
So cold still that it froze π₯Ά on the cottage π¨ window πͺ.
All to see, no more βοΈ snowflakes to see.
Freeze π₯Ά Land
In a land far away there was a cave full of π§ icicles π₯Ά.
Some had many different colours, like the rainbow π
A wolf πΊ looks β¬οΈ up in the cave where he lives, full of π§ ice.
He walks onto the snowy path in the village of Latitude.
Willow the wolf hears the wind π¨ and sees such a mist π«οΈ of
fog π«οΈ in the cold π₯Ά night π air.
Snowy Hill
In the middle was a hill covered in snow βοΈ.
Snowflakes βοΈ trickle down the hill of St Clementine
To see no oranges π, no leaves π.
On branches of this once beautiful π orange π tree π³.
It blows cold π₯Ά wind π¨ on the meadow in middle of winter βοΈ.
A snowy owl π¦ stood still on another branch of the π³ tree.
Snowy Owl
In the cold β winter
There stood a tree π with an owl on the branch.
She saw the morning sky as the sun β rises.
She had such magnificent white feathers.
That looked like the snow π¨.
Spreads her wings so wide to see.
She flew into the winter sky, never to be seen again.
