I am an independent consultant, teacher and researcher with honorary Chairs at The Open University and University College Cork. I live in Buckinghamshire and have an ancient cat, an almost as ancient a dog, and four wonderful grandchildren.

My role on the project is to train people to be good oral history interviewers. I ran the training events in London and York in the early months of 2024 with Charlotte. I will be continuing to support people as they do their interviews, and will advise on the educational and academic resources section of the website, and help with the exhibitions.

Ever since Heritage Lottery included oral history in its funding portfolio, I have supported many projects which record the history of learning disabilities through people’s memories. United Response’s is the biggest of these projects, a really exciting opportunity to show what people with learning disabilities can achieve when given support and resources.
