Meet Rosie, one of the people behind Our Life Stories.
My name is Rosie. I have worked for United Response for just over 2 years. I work as a support worker in Richmond.
My favourite thing about working with United Response is planning activities for the people we support, especially the Pamper session that I run! We have a really lovely group that come. They enjoy having their feet soaked, and nails painted and chatting with their friends. These are experiences that a lot of them don’t tend to access out in the community. It’s very rewarding watching them all smile and socialise during this and other sessions.
Before working with United Response, I worked in a PMLD school. That is where I gained most of my experience working with people with disabilities. I fell in love with the job after being there for just a few days. I worked there for about 4 years before moving over to United Response.
I have three children, two of which are twins. In my spare time I like catching up with friends and listening to music. Summer is my favourite time of year. I am really pleased to be involved in the 50 years project and am excited to watch it evolve.
