Richmond / Kingston
Our creative and tight-knit group of services support people with disabilities across the Richmond and Kingston area, including Teddington, Twickenham, St Margaret’s, Barnes, Strawberry Hill and Hampton.
We can support you to become more independent and do what you want to do with your life.
Support we offer:
- Housing services. We can help to find the right place to live for people with challenging behaviour, autism, complex medical conditions and profound learning disabilities.
- Supported living services. Ranging from a few hours’ support a week to intensive 24/7 sleep-in support for people with mental health conditions, dementia, mobility issues, sight and hearing impairments, and communication difficulties.
- Transitions services for people moving through major life stages, from leaving school and moving from children’s to adult’s services, to finding work and living on your own.
- Community support to help people live independently in their own homes. We provide access to the local community; education; supported employment and social enterprises; help with things like budgeting, keeping up a tenancy and staying healthy; and a raft of fun and meaningful group activities.
For an example of our support in action, read how we supported Sam to communicate effectively using assistive technology.
Activity groups and social enterprises
We run over 20 activity groups and social enterprises in Richmond. They are all set up, co-run and led by people with disabilities.
Groups range from drama, cooking and dancercise to gardening, Makaton and meditation. The number of groups is always growing and new ideas are always welcome!
They give people we support the chance to work or volunteer, gain skills, build friendships and relationships, and pursue their passions.
