Vacancy to live in Exmouth supported living house
United Response is a national charity that supports people with learning disabilities, autistic people or people with mental health needs. We are currently supporting four people in a lovely property in Exmouth, and would love to find someone new to make use of the fifth bedroom.
Because there is so much to do in Exmouth, this might suit someone who loves to get out and about to explore and experience new things. As well as being really close to the beach, we’re a five-minute walk from the town centre. Exmouth is known for it’s year-round events including the summer festival and Christmas markets, as well as plenty cafes, restaurants, shops, cinema and bowling alley.

The property
The vacancy is in a 5-bedroom, mid-terrace house owned by United Response.
On the ground floor, there is a good-sized lounge and a roomy kitchen with dining space. These are great places for everyone who lives here to spend time together over food and enjoy their shared interests.
The current vacancy is a large room and features an en-suite wet room with a shower and toilet. Because it’s on the ground floor, it would suit someone who struggles with staircases. However, please bear in mind that there is a single step in the front of the property, and a further step into the porch.
There is a small, paved garden at the back of the property where we enjoy having BBQs in the summer.
The support
We also provide the support at the property. There is 24-hour cover including sleep-in support, with hours shared between the residents. 1:1 hours can also be arranged where needed.
We pride ourselves on delivering truly person-centred support. This means that we will work hard when someone joins the household to understand what they would like to achieve, what they like to do independently and what they might need support with. In this way, we can make sure that the support we provide matches perfectly with each person.
