Supported living service in Bognor Regis
A space has opened up in a house in Bognor Regis, which is just right for an independent person with learning disabilities. Perhaps it could be right for you, or someone you know?
This fun and creative home would suit someone who enjoys taking part in different activities and trips, and would like to get to know their housemates and other local people we support. We’re hoping to find a man of a similar age to the current housemates (40-70) as we have a small gender imbalance at the moment.
Everyone at the house is independent, and many are in paid work or volunteering. We’d love to support you to do this too, if it’s something you’re interested in.
This is also a great place to live if you love the beach (and a good café!). We have good public transport links to Bognor and Littlehampton, which both have lovely beaches, shops and cafes.
The house
Two women and one man (all in their forties and early fifties) live in our main bungalow, where the vacant room is located. There’s also an annex at the rear end of the bungalow where a married couple are supported to live.
Inside the main bungalow you’ll find an open plan hall/lounge area, a shared conservatory, and a small open plan kitchen/diner area. If you like outdoors space, we have a lovely rear garden with a lawn and shrubbery.
The vacant room is up a steep staircase, and there are lots of steps around the house, so this wouldn’t be the right home for you if you need mobility support.
What support is available
Our friendly support team are dedicated to helping people achieve fulfilling and independent lives.
Some people at the house receive a helping hand with menu planning, putting together shopping lists, cooking, budgeting and medication. Most people are independent with their day to day tasks and receive fewer than twenty hours of 1 to 1 support, so this wouldn’t be the right home for you if you’re looking for round the clock care.
If this house sounds perfect for you or your family member, please let us know using the form below, and have a chat with your social worker too.
It’s really important to United Response to protect the privacy, safety and rights of everyone who lives at this location. That’s why we haven’t included every detail and there might be less photos than you’d expect. Please get in touch and we’ll be able to answer any questions, as well as support you and your social worker to assess its suitability.
