Supported living service in Wimbledon
A space is available in a house in Wimbledon which is just right for people with learning disabilities or autism. Perhaps it could be you, or someone you know?
This mixed gender house is currently home to two men and two women aged 70+. It’s a really sociable home and all of the housemates enjoy spending time together. We are looking for someone who is 45+ years old who wants to make new friends and enjoys taking part in social activities.
The housemates and staff are a fun, creative group of people and they have weekly music classes and arts and crafts sessions that everyone enjoys. Every day the housemates eat meals together and particularly look forward to their weekend takeaway!
The house is 10 minutes away from the local high street which has a range of shops, cafes and green spaces.
The house
The bedrooms have all been recently decorated and have had new flooring installed. The kitchen has also been completely renovated with new appliances and counters.
The room that’s currently available is on the first floor. It is up a set of stairs, so it isn’t suited to someone with mobility restrictions.
In addition to a shared bathroom on the first floor, the house also has an assisted bathroom downstairs if housemates need support with bathing.
The housemates are able to make use of the big garden and patio and particularly enjoy having BBQs during the warmer months.
Support team
The amazing team have been supporting the housemates for over 15 years, so know them and the area well. We focus on person-centered support, so that means we will customise a care plan according to what the new housemate needs to make sure they can achieve their own personal goals.
The team provides 24-hour support, with someone awake throughout the night, to make sure there is always the support available when it’s needed. The support team love putting on fun activities for all the housemates and making sure everyone is involved.
