Health and Wellbeing (Outreach)

Our Health and Wellbeing service supports people to access a diverse range of groups, activities and social opportunities. This can be anything from going for a coffee, attending a music lesson, or going to the cinema.

 

Training at Café West

Café West is a modern, bustling café set within York’s West Offices, run by United Response, where people can train in catering, food preparation and customer service.
 

Media

Our Media service gives people the opportunity to learn and develop a variety of skills and get hands-on technical experience in a wide range of areas within the Media industry including filmmaking, podcasting and sound production. ​
 

The Autism Hub

The Autism Hub is a safe, comfortable and autism-friendly environment for people to spend time accessing support. Working towards agreed outcomes, people who attend develop skills and confidence whilst making friends and having fun!
 

The Base @ Burnholme

The Base @ Burnholme is an activity base for adults with learning disabilities. Set within the Centre@Burnholme, we have six different spaces ranging from the main hall to a quiet room. We also have use of the kitchen space to deliver independent living skill training.
 

The Boot Shop, Easingwold

The Boot Shop, just north of York, is a place where people we support can get creative with art, drama, photography, upcycling and furniture restoration. These products are then exhibited and sold to members of the local community.

 

Supported Employment

Our York Supported Employment service works can help you find work experience and employment in jobs that match both your strengths and interests. ​We also work with employers to help them recruit and retain disabled and autistic talent.
